Players found a glitch

Closed 1.3.6 1.3.7

Hello Fruster

Players have found a glitch.
They put themselves in a building, a tower, and attract the NPCs.
NPCs stick to the wall and players can kill them through walls.
There is a way to prevent this, other than Forcibly immobilize NPCs ?

I can add a setting - "Radius of chasing the player(NPCs will chase the player as soon as he comes closer than the specified radius)", if it helps you, set it to a negative value so that NPCs do not pursue players

Hello Fruster,

I installed the latest update but for the moment the NPCs always stick to the wall.
What should I change in the config so that this is no longer the case?

  "NPCs attack range": 80,
"Radius of chasing the player(NPCs will chase the player as soon as he comes closer than the specified radius, must be no greater than the attack range)": 60,
"Minimum distance to NPC damage": 80,

Hey! You can change  "Radius of chasing the player"

set to -1 to prevent NPCs from ever chasing players

Thanks Fruster,

I just tested and as a result the NPCs are quite static and don't pursue players at all.
It's more or like:
"Forcibly immobilize an NPC": true
What I thought was that the NPCs move towards the player but stop at a certain distance from the player to prevent the NPCs from sticking to the wall.
Sorry, I'm asking a lot 🙂
But if you think it's not possible, I would settle for the "Radius of chasing the player" option 😉

NPCs should move, but only near crates. Maybe I'll add a pursuit radius or something like that when I have free time. Anyway, in the future I will try to improve the behavior of NPCs to make it interesting for players
