I am here for the same reason.  If the furnace is upgraded to the new DLC skin, you cannot upgrade them.

as well as the new industrial.electric.furnace - the upgrade button does not show there either

i tried adding the item short names to the upgrade settings and that didnt work. so maybe it does need an update?

It has been reported that the upgrade button does not appear on the new DLC furnaces. Will there be an update related to this?
