Price Mismatch with NPC Vending Machine Surge Pricing
I noticed that the recent update to NPC vending machines, where prices fluctuate based on demand, isn't currently reflected in the prices shown on the marketplace plugin. For instance, if the standard selling price of a jackhammer at the Outpost is 150 scrap, but due to a surge, the current price is 200 scrap, the marketplace plugin still displays the price as 150 scrap.
While this isn't a major issue since players can check the current price by opening the map, and given that it's the player vending machines that are most important when searching for prices (which don’t have surge pricing), it might not be necessary to update the plugin for this. However, it could be worth considering support for this feature in future updates.
Great plugin, it does exactly what I was looking for -> Saves me so much time trying to find the best price across the island and checking all the new trade offers.
The UI is simple and intuitive, I just type /market and then search for the item I want or click on one of the recent searches. It provides an ordered list of results that you can sort from lowest price to highest price, or by closest distance. You can even set a map marker! You can make the UI only accessible from the computer station, which adds to the realism.
I had a few bugs that I reported to the plugin maintainer and they were all eventually fixed. I would encourage The_Kiiiing to open source this plugin so that others may contribute to it, help it grow and maintain it in his absence. It looks like a similar feature has just been released today by Facepunch, but I believe there is still room for this plugin to expand and deliver added functionality that helps increase the efficiency and economy of the island. Thank you!
