Hey,

You need 4 switches.

Library, Office, celland Press room

Then you go behind the pressroom and Press the Button. Then the door will open in office 🙂

The Room behind the Pressroom will give you more Informations.

Howdy Kaho,

I recently purchased this plugin and placed the monument on the map file that I am using for this wipe cycle on my server. I do not see the name of the monument when I open the map, and it appears that the switches that are meant to be activated are not actionable (you cant click them). Would you know where I went wrong in either placing the monument or something I may have done wrong to not allow this monument to work properly. I appreciate your help with this issue.

Thanks,

Tim

Hey Tim 🙂

Thanks for purchasing the File.

there ist No monument marker as they cant bei saved in Rustedit.

Just search for "monument marker" in Rustedit and you can Name it 🙂

Seconds seems strange. Could you Post the output from "o.version" after typing that in your console?

Greetings

Kaho

Howdy Kaho,

Thanks for the heads up and I will be sure to name it properly next wipe. The current version my server is running is Oxide 2.0.5749 and Rust 4371 (2370.233.1).

Thanks for helping me out with this. So far the monument is a big hit, just that players wanted it for the puzzle and as of yet i am not sure what to tell them as how to finish it or activate a few of the switches.

Thanks again.

Tim

Howdy Kaho,

Not sure if this is tied to anything that is going on with the monument on my server or not, but here is something that came up when the test server was starting up. The following error was listed in the RCON for my test server.

BoxColliders does not support negative scale or size. The effective box size has been forced positive and is likely to give unexpected collision geometry. If you absolutely need to use negative scaling you can use the convex MeshCollider. Scene hierarchy path ":\Cobalt Police Department V2 - Kaho:17327:/assets/content/props/powerline_poles/pipe_pole_a.prefab"

It appears that when players put a fuse in the green card truck or the main building the doors are not receiving power and turning on to be swiped. I appreciate any help you may be able to provide.

Thanks,

Tim

@MNfreakTim I get that error all the time running custom maps. I'm also running Cobalt Police Department this map and have no issues. It sounds like some of your IO may have been disconnected in RustEdit. There's a bug that randomly does this when you save your map.

Load your map in RustEdit and make sure the IO is still connected. If not, reconnect and update your map. You can rename your old .sav so you don't have to wipe to fix.

Has anyone had a problem with this monument's electricity? I placed it in rustedit and turned on the view IO entities options and there's no power. I clicked on a card reader and no power. I even pasted it again to see if it was a glitch and nope. I reloaded Rustedit and still, no power in this monument.

Howdy Death,

Thank you for the assist with my question. I did not have the Oxide.Ext.RustEdit file in my RustDedicated_Data/Managed folder. Once I added that file into the necessary folder and restarted the server the puzzle worked.

Thank you so much,

Tim

Hey BetterDeadThanZed,

I believe you are having the same problem that I was. I downloaded the Oxide.Ext.RustEdit file from the RustEdit site. I searched google for "connecting IO in rust edit" and then clicked in the RustEdit.IO link for the page with the description Creating Custom Puzzles + Tutorial for a basic security door and followed the instructions. I hope this helps you out.

I think you're a little confused by my post. I know how to hook up electricity/IO in Rust Edit, but this monument should have everything hooked up to it already. Kaho is looking into it. He thinks maybe the last Rust update might have caused an issue.

Howdy BetterDeadThanZed,

I thought I was having the same problem as you. Players would put a fuse into the necessary spots and the card-readers would not light up. As soon as I put that file into the Managed folder for my server and as soon as I restarted the server the card-readers now have power. I did not know if that was what was happening for you or not, so I figured I would mention it.

I hope you have a fix soon.

No, my problem was in Rust Edit. I'd click on the View/IO Connections and there were no connections. I'd click on something that should be hooked up to power, such as the card reader, and it would show it's not connected. The map didn't make it into the server because I saw this issue. It's something I've learned to check for after placing monuments, putting the map on the server, then finding out in-game that there's no power.

I was having that issue too. I did the prefab replace tool. Then I could see all the IO's again.
