i have figured it out, i didnt realise that you had to have an item that is enhanced for the button to show up. thanks for your help -
Extremely helpful, and provides useful support when experiencing issues. Make sure to check out his other plugins such as enchantments, and especially skill tree. They make the game so much more fun and provide a unique gameplay experience.

is there any other way of bringing the menu up, such as a command

nothing, i have another pugin called quality crafting which adds an icon in the same place. its transparent, so it isnt under the icon that is already there
