I am migrating from a different product and have a few thousand skins to add. Would it be possible addskin command in the console?

Yes, it's just addskin skinid
Unfortunately, the version that is out right now does not have a console reply when you add a skin. The next version will include that

I changed chatcommand to command and added my 1K skins via timed execute. We will have to see how it deals with that when I test it via the UI.

Your coding was a joy to read, I love good code.

Actually, funny you say that. I am not proud of that code at all. I will be rewriting this plugin after I release my new plugin.
