This issue is caused by carbon, on oxide the plugin still works. You will have to wait for them to fix it.

What carbon version are you using? You can display the version with the command c.version

Regarding your question, it is a very difficult and there is not clear answer to it.

In the past, Oxide has proven to be pretty reliable and all you want is reliability, then I personally would stick to oxide.

Carbon has many nice features though and is more modern and convenient. If you want or need some these features then carbon is better in my opinion.

I just posted your issue in the carbon discord and Raul said he is already working on a fix
