Exclude NPC_spawner Rustedit

Hi there.

 

How can i make it happen that the plugin does not remove the NPC_Spawners that are placed from rustedit? For some reason, the spawners are not working as intended. ( or would it be possible to place betterNPC's inside custom caves/underground monuments? )

Hello @GamingHQ you can turn that off in each file, just set the option to false.

As far as underground and in caves that is fine as well but if it is under water then you need to put the name of the monument in the main config file. You'll see plenty of examples of how to do it, just create a new line and match the name of your monument and you should be good in that regard.

then why does this plugin deletes all NPC spawners from rustedit?

to prevent other NPCs from being deleted, is it enough for you in the "Remove other NPCs" parameter? [true/false]" specify the value false

"Remove other NPCs" parameter? [true/false]"

line in the config? I'm not able to find this. Unless you would be referring to the data folder once's.

The thing is, is that i have a new map every month. Doing these files every month is something i'm not waiting for. Therefore also the spawners inside the underground monuments. However, for some reason, your plugin y33t deletes all spawners that have been placed on the map while. This was not the case before as i could use the better NPC plugin with the spawners without having them conflict.

set this parameter "Remove other NPCs? [true/false]" to false in the files and other NPCs will not be deleted, it seems to me that I have already confused and forgotten your original task. Do I understand correctly that you do not want to delete other NPCs, write this in the configuration files and then nothing will be deleted or do I misunderstand you?

You don't have to change anything each month @GamingHQ once you set the files you can leave them that way for each map.

If something has changed recently though I would retrace your steps as that doesn't add up and we would be receiving a lot more reports if something changed with the plugin. Perhaps it's interaction with another plugin that's causing issues.

The only issue we've ever been aware of is in the past, there were times where it seemed the tunnel setup was removing NPCs above the tunnel on the ground, but I'm pretty sure even that has since been resolved as it's not come up in a very long time.

Well, I'm sorry to inform you but this is actually happening. Thanks to this statement, I found out that some of the underground files actually deleted other NPC's. When I disabled those from the tunnels, the NPC reappeared again in the underground monument.

The same fix should always be available of adjusting the range (size) of the monument in the config, as this is the range that it will be attempting to remove other NPCs from within. If it is an underground monument then it is going to be closer to the tunnels so that makes sense.

Still does not make sense why the plugin deletes all placed NPC that is done through rustedit. They ain't there for show and decoration. If the metro tunnel is the real problem, then you........ correction.. KpucTaJl is still having the same bug as you had before as the metro station and the custom monument is over 250M depth away.

It doesn't delete all NPCs. It deletes NPCs within a certain range.

RustEdit NPCs are not the most reliable or smartest AI, so if you want them that bad that's fine but most people do replace them. I for one literally remove all NPC spawners from a map and use the plugin that I paid for, which is completely customizable, spawn my NPCs for me. The plugin isn't there for show and decoration.

The metro tunnel is not a problem to my knowledge.

If you have screenshots, video, some kind of example so that the developer and myself can substantiate, try to reproduce, and look into it then let us know.

Indeed, the plugin is there only for experts while people without proper knowledge are struggling and giving us a free headache. Same as with the aiming cone, who Fluggy cares about an aim cone? all I need is NPC walking inside a custom monument that's underground.

All you guys are saying is, do this, do that... ye.. great..  how? And how does the plugin recognize what monument is from what? There is nothing. Not a single guide nothing. Have you seen the list on how many configs it has?

Hello everyone, this ticket has already been open for almost a week, maybe it will be easier to open it in Discord and deal with all the problems in one day than to stretch the solution of problems for weeks on the site?

I don't really remember your problem anymore and what you asked. At first I answered messages, then you stopped responding and when you already answered, JBird started responding to you. You had ordinary questions that are solved in a few minutes, but the solution of such issues on the site takes several days. Could you please describe what problems you have right now, because I'm really already confused in the messages?

Regarding the configuration, the plugin is made for a very large audience and everyone needs a certain parameter, all I could think of to regulate the settings in the NPC, I added, it's better to add everything, and it will be than not to have and you will be asked to add it. This allows you to configure the NPC very flexibly, restrictions come only by your imagination. I know a lot of clients who use all the characteristics. I understand that there are a lot of them, so I made a very large description of the plugin and put it in the archive with the plugin, and it is also in the description of the plugin on the website. I tried to describe each setting parameter as much as possible and what it is responsible for. If you don't need some parameter, it doesn't mean that someone else from the clients doesn't need it. At the moment, there is not a single parameter that customers would not use. All these parameters are needed, besides, I didn't even invent them, at the time of development and planning of the plugin, all clients participated in creating the configuration, all the parameters that are in the configuration are what the clients wanted and offered in the chat to create this plugin

During the day there will be a big update for this plugin, which fixes your case with the underground subway. This was really a problem on my part, the underground subways had a very large radius of npc removal

Normally not a big fan but it slowly starts to become such an option indeed. not sure why Jbird started to respond here, of course with good intentions, but as a moderator jumping in the middle of a convo without even a solid reason or permission..... I would get fired if I was doing that. 😄

Normally I'm not a fan of forums or 3rd party support, but with this ongoing on code fling, I'm actually tempted on going to Discord for further events and support from you. The problem we had is related to a bug from the plugin that you fixed. Still need to update and transfer the files, so I still have some work to do. Looks like it's a big one.

Since KpucTaJl pays me weekly to do support his work, I would say I have reason and permission. Sorry if you're in places where you would be fired for helping, I'd never work in such a place haha.
