I was unable to reproduce this issue on my test server, as I was able to connect without issue:

Let's explore a few server side possibilities:
1) Ensure RustEdit.dll is installed and up to date on your server
2) Complete a full map wipe
3) Ensure your server and client are up to date. If so, verify server files and client files
