It depends on the player's UI scale. A smaller scale allows more status bars to fit on the screen.
I've limited the maximum to 24, but displaying more than 6 at once may already be visually overwhelming, as they can cover a significant portion of the screen.
In your case, the overlap with just 3 bars is most likely caused by incorrect spacing from the vanilla status bars.
