After updating to version 1.4.8, this issue reappeared, and at the same time, there was also a problem with the NPC's respawn. The number of respawnings for this NPC was set to 15, but there were only 5 NPCs respawn.

I think all these issues are resolved now although, with all the post-wipe updates, I'd been waiting for more solid confirmation from testers before updating.
