SafeRespawn protects new players for their first 30 minutes on the server. During that time, they have a protection that prevents others from killing them, giving them a chance to get started without being spawn-killed right away.

It should work fine with it. Players dont actually die in Gungame, and it appears that this plugin checks 4 seconds after the OnPlayerDeath trigger to see if the player is dead.
