How do we remove custom items from the custom items list? Ive tried deleting the data file and it just repopulates. No way to do it in game through the UI from what I can see.

You don't have to edit the data file. Just click the edit button on the item and then a delete button will appear. If the custom item was registered by another plugin you can not delete it.
