How to remove when not active

I have a timer set to place a custom status on players and when the plugin reloads the time freezes and turns the text to green. How can I properly remove and not display the custom status until it is called in the other method?

Got it removing correctly now, and everything displays as it should. However when reloading the plugin I get a CustomStatusFramwork plugin not found.
