config reverts to default on reload

i'm just trying to remove the command "s" so that it doesn't conflict with another plugin and everytime i reload, the config puts the "s" I just removed right back in.  I think in whatever case, the config reverts back to default values.

can you unload the plugin first then change the command then load the plugin.
