Possible to load images with Image Library?

I want to optimize how quickly the background image loads. Is it possible to use the Image Library plugin to accomplish this? Or some other method?

Plugin automatically checks for ImageLibrary, then downloads images and checks for downloaded images when displaying them. If you background is loading slowly chances are that ImageLibrary wasn't able to download you image.
