Loot Tables Not Really 2x

Fixed 3.1.35.2 3.2.0

I am having an issue with your loot table here and even with the raidable base ones I bought separately.

This is supposed to be a 2x loot table, yet my players are regularly getting less than the default quantities of loot.

In a heli crate, for example:

A vanilla heli crate 556 ammo spawn has:
120 normal
60 incendiary
30 explosive
40 high velocity

Your ammo crate has less weight and and has::
80-240 normal
40-120 incendiary
20-60 explosive
20-80 high velocity

How is it a 2x if it can spawn 67% less quantity than a vanilla server? Players rarely get vanilla rates, let alone 2x rates.

I tried your loot tables for raid bases and they were instantly rejected by my players. Nowhere near enough boom and getting things like cooked chicken, sewing kits, thompsons, etc. in expert and nightmare bases. Players expect to break even or make a profit on a raid base, at least on my server they do.

AlphaLoot's probabilities are different, and our players have been satisfied on our servers for a year. If you're referring to the loot table for Raidable Bases, I’ve included the new expanded loot files as an extra within the package. If you review the guide in detail, I’ve explained ways to increase loot rates.

If you downloaded the file previously, please download it again from here. Prefer the "Enhanced" Base_Loot Tables, as they have higher loot rates.
https://codefling.com/customizations/raidable-bases-loot-tables-pack

Additionally, if you adjust the number "90" in the guide below to values like 200-450, your loot rates will significantly increas,

The number of items that spawn in crates is not determined by the loot table but by five different configs found in the /serverfiles/oxide/data/RaidableBases/Profiles directory. For example, open Easy Bases.json inside the Profiles folder with Notepad, press CTRL+F, and search for "Amount Of Items To Spawn".

In the example below, the spawn amount is set to 90.

exp:   "Amount Of Items To Spawn": 250,    (Determine the numbers yourself based on your loot needs.)
You can adjust this number according to your preference, either increasing or decreasing it. Keep in mind that changing this will affect the drop rates in the loot table.

I feel like you are discounting my question here entirely. Why the low range on the loot quantity? To repeat, this allows for the loot to be 67% less than vanilla in a claimed 2x loot table.

In simple terms, players are getting shittier loot on my 2x server than they would be on a vanilla server. Does that make sense?

You said the same thing about the raid base loot as well, but your players are not my players.

My issue with the raid bases isn't the quantity of loot necessarily, it is the quality. The actual items chosen to be in the loot table. But I will take another look at settings.

The 2x config, by AlphaLoot's structure, provides exactly 2x loot in barrels and roadside signs. As I mentioned, crates in the game drop loot at levels close to the 2x configuration—meaning at an average rate with a chance-based loot balance. There is no way to fully regulate this, as doing so would remove the element of chance and make AlphaLoot function like BetterLoot, which offers fixed loot, ultimately taking away what makes AlphaLoot unique.

I do not plan to update this aspect anytime soon. If you want a custom config for your servers, you will need to create it yourself, as your request falls into a very specific customization category. Unfortunately, I cannot create a unique loot table for every support request.

This 2x config has been structured according to our personal preferences, and naturally, it may not suit everyone's loot preferences. For a strictly fixed 2x loot table, it would be more suitable for users with loot requests like yours to switch to BetterLoot, as it is much more stable and provides a true 2x loot experience.

Dude. I'm not asking for a custom loot table and I am not wanting a fixed loot table. You are missing my point entirely. I want my players to not have a greater chance of getting less than vanilla loot rates on a 2x, that is all.

There is a way to do it, it would mean that you you would set the minimum amounts to at least vanilla rates, though they should be higher, and still use ranges and the features of AlphaLoot as intended. You are the one that configured it so they can get 80 556 in a crate that has 120 on a vanilla server.

I don't want you to update your loot table, I will just leave a review and move on. I don't want to use your products if you are going to have this kind of response to questions about why things are configured as they are.

If you are going to advertise a 2x loot table, it should generate 2x the loot of vanilla or at least players should have a higher probability of getting 2x than less than vanilla rates. If you disagree with that statement, then we aren't going to find common ground here. Thanks for your time.

The new update offers a more stable loot system, especially for Crate Normal 2. You can download and use it.

Best regards.
