Eligibility and Account Responsibilities
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to become a creator. If you act for a business or another rights holder, you must have permission to accept these terms on their behalf.
Keep your account, contact, and payment information accurate. Protect your login credentials and report suspected unauthorized access to Codefling promptly. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.
Ownership and Rights to Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You must have the rights needed to upload, license, sell, and support it, including any third-party code, images, or other assets it contains.
You grant Codefling a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, distribute, display, promote, and make changes to your content as needed to operate and market the platform. This includes making files available to authorized buyers and using listing materials to promote your products.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your work. The provisions below on abandoned files, withdrawal, and a sale of Codefling govern how the license continues in those circumstances. You must not grant Codefling rights that conflict with a third-party license.
Respect Existing Buyer Licenses
Make your product license available before purchase. State any limits on use, including the number of servers, permitted modifications, and redistribution. Those terms must comply with applicable law and Codefling’s policies.
Changes to your license apply to future purchases. Do not retroactively reduce rights already granted to buyers or require them to pay again to keep using the version they lawfully purchased.
Withdrawing a product, closing your account, or transferring its maintenance does not by itself cancel existing buyer licenses. Those licenses remain subject to their original terms and any lawful remedies for a buyer’s breach. Report suspected misuse through Codefling rather than disabling files remotely.
Maintain Consistent Pricing
Your content must not be offered at a lower price on another platform than on Codefling. Keep pricing consistent and account for public discounts and promotions when setting your prices.
If we find a lower price elsewhere, we may ask you to correct the difference or suspend the listing until its pricing complies. Do not use misleading discounts or inflate a reference price to make a sale appear larger than it is.
Keep Codefling Sales on Codefling
Do not direct buyers you reach through Codefling to complete their purchase elsewhere, whether to avoid fees or for another reason. This includes using listings, messages, support conversations, or product files to redirect those sales.
Do not use Codefling to recruit customers or creators for a competing marketplace, or promote competing platforms with the intention of diverting Codefling sales. Clearly documented links needed for installation or support are allowed when they comply with the Upload Guidelines and are not used to redirect purchases.
Treat Others Fairly
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, or deliberately spread false or misleading statements about Codefling, its staff, creators, or customers. Do not sabotage another creator’s listings or interfere with their customers or support.
Honest criticism, good-faith complaints, and lawful reports to authorities are allowed. Disagreement with a review, moderation decision, or another creator is not a reason to retaliate. Contact Codefling if a dispute needs intervention.
Do Not Manipulate Reviews
Do not create, buy, arrange, or exchange fake reviews or ratings. Do not offer discounts, free products, refunds, or other rewards in exchange for positive reviews or the removal of criticism.
Do not make support, fixes, or refunds conditional on a buyer changing or deleting a review. You may ask for honest feedback. Report reviews that break our rules instead of pressuring the reviewer.
Do not use alternate accounts or coordinated purchases to inflate sales, ratings, downloads, or other marketplace statistics.
Meet Submission and Review Standards
All files, listings, and updates must follow the Upload Guidelines, including our rules on AI, licensing, game and platform terms, dependencies, security, and external communication. Keep descriptions accurate and disclose required purchases or services.
Files are subject to curation. Trusted creators may be allowed to release files before review, but this does not exempt them from the rules. Approval is not a guarantee that a file has no defects or security issues, and it does not remove your responsibility for the product.
Cooperate with review requests and provide the information needed to check your work. We may reject, suspend, or remove files that fail review. See the Curation Disclaimer for review outcomes and buyer notifications.
Support and Update Your Files
Provide updates and support for paid content for at least six months after its first sale on Codefling. This minimum does not replace any longer support commitment you advertise or any obligations imposed by law.
While a file remains available for sale, keep it functional, compatible with the software it claims to support, and supported. Respond to reported problems, provide clear setup instructions, and disclose known limitations.
If you can no longer maintain a file, contact Codefling promptly so its listing and support arrangements can be addressed. Do not continue selling a file you know is broken without addressing the problem.
Abandonment and File Maintenance
If paid content is no longer supported or Codefling determines it has been abandoned, we may maintain it or appoint a new maintainer to protect existing buyers.
For that purpose, you grant Codefling a non-exclusive, perpetual, transferable license to modify, maintain, and assign maintenance of the content. This license survives withdrawal of the file or closure of your account, subject to the separate provisions below concerning a sale of Codefling and any third-party rights.
Where practical, we will attempt to contact you before assigning a maintainer. We may suspend sales or downloads immediately if a file presents a security or functionality problem.
If a new maintainer is assigned, future sales proceeds for that content will go to the new maintainer as compensation for ongoing work. Existing buyers retain the rights granted with their purchases.
If Codefling Changes Ownership
A sale or transfer of ownership of Codefling does not automatically transfer the licenses you granted Codefling to the new owner. You may revoke those licenses and withdraw your content by notifying us within a reasonable time after the sale is announced.
Codefling or its new owner will arrange the withdrawal without cancelling existing buyer licenses. The permission needed to fulfill existing purchases and preserve buyers’ access continues for those limited purposes. Your ownership of the content is unchanged.
Handle Refunds and Disputes
Refunds are handled under Codefling’s Refund Policy and applicable law. Sales are generally final after download, subject to the exceptions in that policy, the Curation Disclaimer, and any rights a buyer has under law.
Respond to refund requests and help resolve files that are broken or not as described. Provide relevant purchase, support, and product information when Codefling investigates a dispute.
Codefling may issue refunds where its policies or the law require or allow them and deduct the refunded amounts from your earnings. Payment reversals and chargebacks may also reverse the related sale earnings. Do not retaliate against a buyer or interfere with their lawful dispute rights.
Earnings, Fees, and Payouts
Sales earnings are credited to your CF wallet after the applicable sales fee is deducted. That fee supports payment processing and operation of the marketplace.
Payouts are not automatic. You must request a withdrawal and provide correct payment details. Codefling does not charge a withdrawal fee.
Your available earnings reflect refunds, payment reversals, and other adjustments permitted under these terms. Keep records of your sales and payouts, and report any suspected error promptly.
Payment Processing and Taxes
Codefling facilitates payments between buyers and creators and holds creator earnings until a payout is requested. This payment arrangement does not, by itself, determine who owes tax on a transaction.
You are responsible for reporting your income and handling any income tax, sales tax, VAT, or other obligations assigned to you by law. Provide accurate tax information when required.
Codefling will collect, withhold, report, or remit taxes where legally required. Nothing in these terms transfers a tax obligation that the law places on Codefling to a creator, or removes a creator’s own obligations.
Protect Customer Information
Use customer information available through Codefling only to fulfill purchases, provide support, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations. Access only the information you need and keep it secure.
Do not sell customer information, publish private support conversations or identifying details without permission, or add buyers to mailing lists without their consent. Do not use purchase or support records to solicit off-site sales.
Notify Codefling promptly if customer information or credentials connected to your creator account or files are exposed or accessed without authorization. Follow applicable privacy law when collecting, retaining, or deleting customer information.
Your Warranties and Responsibility for Claims
You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit and license your content, that it complies with these terms and applicable law, and that it contains no harmful code. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings and the support commitments you make.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Codefling for third-party claims arising from your content, infringement of another party’s rights, or your breach of these terms. This includes related losses and reasonable legal costs attributable to that claim.
Codefling will notify you of such a claim and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond. This obligation does not cover losses caused by Codefling’s own unlawful conduct.
Limits of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Codefling is not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the platform or your content. Codefling is not responsible for losses caused by a buyer’s misuse of your files.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
Withdrawal, Suspension, and Termination
You may ask Codefling to withdraw your listings or close your creator account. Withdrawal does not cancel existing buyer licenses, outstanding support commitments, or obligations relating to earlier sales.
Codefling may suspend listings, restrict creator privileges, or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, other platform policies, or applicable law. We may act immediately where needed to address fraud, security risks, or harm to users.
After termination, you may not upload or sell new content. Codefling may retain the files and records needed to fulfill existing purchases, resolve disputes, maintain abandoned content under these terms, and meet legal obligations.
Any outstanding earnings, refunds, and payment adjustments remain subject to these terms. Contact the Help Center if you believe an action was taken in error.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform or legal requirements change. We will notify creators of material changes and state when they take effect.
If you do not accept updated terms, contact us to arrange withdrawal of your listings before those changes take effect. Continuing to upload or offer content after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. Existing buyer licenses remain protected as described above.
