Spawn issue

Closed 1.0.31 1.1.5

Hi,

I get 5-6 reports of Bradley not falling from the plane.
Also sometimes it goes through the ground and they get the message about bradley going to deep water. Is there an option to refund them when that happens? ( and clear cooldown)

What are you setting for the parachute drag? If you set this too low, that is what can cause the falling through ground issue.

As for the not falling from the plane issue, without more info to go on I can't really help you. I am not having anyone else report such a thing and all my testing on my test server is working fine. Maybe if you give me more info, such as any error messages in console? Is the plane actually being called in? Does a normal supply drop fall instead? Anything that might help. Also, players say a lot of things 😉 lol

"Cargo Plane Speed (Rust Default = 35)": 150.0,
"Cargo Plane Height Above The Heighest Point On The Map": 50.0,
"Parachute Drag (Lower = Faster. eg: 0.6)": 0.2,

The reports are from my competent and trusted players, they see the plane fly above them but nothing falls, this happens maybe 1 in 10 times. I don't think i saw an error in the console.

0.2 is why its causing an issue with falling through the terrain. Set it to 0.5 and you will be good, 0.4 is also usually OK, but to be safe I recommend 0.5.

Do you have any other plugins which control Bradley in anyway which might cause a conflict and make it not spawn?

The falling speed fixed that issue, regarding it not falling from the plane I don't use a Bradley plugin or supply drop plugin. I use loot defender to make supply drop spawn without a plane.

OK, I will do some testing with loot defender and that option later to see what I find. I use the plugins together without issue on our servers, but I don't use that option so I'll look into it.

I have reached out to nivex to add compatibility to Loot Defender, once they release an update this should resolve this issue. I will continue to look to see if there is a way around it for me, but I think it wont be possible until they update their plugin. But I will let you know. I guess in the meantime you could make it compatible by disabling the instant supply drop setting in Loot Defender? At least you could try disabling it and see if that resolves the issue for you?

On further testing, with Loot Defender and bypassing the Cargo Plane so drops spawn instantly, it works fine for me on my test server. I don't see the issue with them not spawning at all. Is it still happening?

Maybe there is another plugin which affects supply signals or drops?

Its seems to be fixed now, maybe something to do with custom maps. I have 3 new issues though,

  1.  Player calls in bradley, 20 secs after it lands it says you cannot damage this. Happens maybe 1/10 bradleys
  2. Can you add a check to remove the spawn lock after the cooldown? I think if players don't kill their Bradley it says they have one active and won't let them spawn another
  3. bddespawn doesn't do anything. also if you could allow this from console

1. This is happening when you have Loot Defender installed, join my Discord for the fix

2. Fixed on latest release

3. It works fine, and now it clears the players limit too. It works from chat or F1 console in game
