If you’re hosting the hot on the same host as your rust server odds are you’re running into an internal firewall issue

How are you hosting your server?

Server is hosted through GTX. Think the bot is hosted through icedhost.

checked with both hosts., no issues with firewall. any other ideas as to what could be causing this issue?

have even tried a different host for the bot to no avail. getting the exact same error.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I have yet to get it working. At this point I'm about to ask for a refund because this is a joke

have the same problem  since the Rust Update Today totaly weird.  for the update runs the bot fine

This is not an issue with the bot, all the bot is trying to do is establish a connection to your server, but there is something blocking that connection. Try to host the bot off your PC and see what happens.
Make sure your server IP, RCON port, and possword are all in correctly.

have tried hosting it  off my pc, plus 2 different paid hosts. got the same error with all 3. its obviously an issue with the bot and not the host. have even contacted the hosts and they have said the issue isnt them. the server ip, Rcon port and password are all perfect

I know for a fact it’s not a bot issue. The issue is occurring like I said when it is attempting to connect to your server. You’re running through on OVH machine which commonly has issues with allowing external connections, such as a connection to rcon. The bot, just like a lot of sites use the same sort of connection devices to your sever. Nobody else is having this issue that is persisting because they are able to find what is causing it on their end. It’s impossible for me to change any way for the bot to connect, it connects just like any rcon site would

then maybe give me some advice on how to get this fixed rather than just saying its "not my issue"

and another person "nevs" is also having the same issue above, so im not the only one.

GTX seems to be an issue. They might need to whitelist the IP of the bot.

if your still needing help with this. i have had the ame problem for hours and its been driving me insane,

might not be the issue you have but here was mine.

i totally forgot you CANNOT use special characters in your RCON Password!! (must only be numbers and letters!)

so if you do have special characters in your RCON password change your password and update config and bot will work as intended 🙂
