Can't get access to loottables.

I've doing the loottable.edit command and it's not giving the perms to edit the servers loot tables. Keeps saying i don't have permission, but i've made myself the owner.

You misunderstood something there. Even though you are the owner, you have to grant yourself the permission loottable.edit in the console by typing 

o.grant user <your steam id> loottable.edit

Then in the game you can use the command /loottable to open the loot editor.
