add loot motel

How can I add military and elite crates to the motel, in the areas where keycards are used? I’ve looked through the files, but I still can’t figure out how to add them. Thanks.

The motel uses invisible crates containing custom loot. The files I provide with the map are only needed to prevent the custom loot from being reset if you decide to edit the map.

You don't need to add anything to the motel. Just make sure to place the files in your RustEdit folder before editing the map.

You can also edit the custom loot profiles.

I placed the files as you described; the rest of the map is fine, but at the motel, only one map fragment appears. Sorry to bother you—I’m new to this and a bit lost. Thanks again!

Is the map not showing up in RustEdit?

Neither in RustEdit nor on the test server where I’m testing this—while loot in other locations works fine—does the motel provide anything other than a single fragment in one cupboard.

Yes, but it will be later, because I have another map loaded right now.

This is the only loot I’m getting—no elite or military crates. Considering these are blue and red keycard areas, I can’t just provide this to the players. I’m sending you the files I added to the Rust loot editor, along with the loot configuration for a blue keycard room.

Open the map in RustEdit, select the invisible crate at the motel, and ensure that custom loot is enabled for it; this setting might have been disabled if you ever edited the map without profiles.
