House not buildable on upper floors

No matter how players change the foundation heights they cannot get it to allow them to build on the second story of the houses. Is there plugins or settings that would allow them to place items in the houses and put lock on doors and a tc down to claim a house? If not these prefab houses are worthless. Help please.

You can place foundations and TCs in all custom places. Please provide a screenshot of the problematic place.

Its all the two story houses. If the foundation isn't high enough the floor/ceiling piece is below the prefab floor/ceiling of the second floor so can't place bed or chairs or anything. If we raise the foundation the floor/ceiling will clip through but says placing in rock. I feel I am missing an important step or something. Can't lock the prefab doors either but one of the houses you can't place a foundation near the front door or upstairs so no way to secure them. I haven't done a map with two story houses. Had one that had a cube and elevator but the build matched perfectly with all the floors on that one. New to custom maps. 

Can't build in front doorway no matter the angle i tried everything. Next is showing the two levels one wont let me clip it through the prefab floor says it is a rock so can't place floor piece. Next shows lower foundation and floor right below the prefab ceiling which also blocks the lights. Went up where I placed wall on top of the floor so i could mark where the floor piece below is and as you see the bed doesn't recognize that it is on the floor. Chairs say not enough stability. So upstairs can't be used at all. What am I missing/doing wrong. I love your map and houses and really want to use them

That’s how it’s designed: you can only place foundations on the ground floor (where there is no wooden flooring—this is because the game doesn't allow placing foundations under stairs), whereas on the second floor, you can place crates and certain items (though not all of them).

I deliberately avoid using doors that can be locked (except for garage doors) because they cannot be raided (for instance, there are servers where you can raid an inactive player).
