Cannot place storage adapters

For some reason, we are unable to place storage adapters anymore. Cannot work out why - nothing changed in config. 

We get An Error Occurred [Adaptor] tried recycler and planter.

Don't know how, but it is now working. 
Picked up deployables and put down again - all seems to be OK.
