Commands for recall and how to pick up vehicles are there.  We use limits on how many vehicles of each type our  players can have.   How do they delete the vehicles in their inventories so they can move on to something different?

Really need to find out how to delete a vehicle bought using Vehicle Buy, please.

Could you please clarify what you mean by 'deleting a vehicle'? Are you looking for a command for players to destroy an item in their inventory, or do you mean a way to clear their owned vehicle limit in the plugin's data? Also, are they trying to delete a deployed vehicle or a physical item?

referring to:   a player buys a certain number of vehicles.  They hit the limit we set for # of vehicles at a given time.   How do they delete an existing vehicle, so they can buy a new one?  (The limit seems to reset with the daily restart)

Okay, confirmation:   the limit is not being reset daily or even with a wipe.  The players who bought to the limit originally (in March) have not been able to buy a single vehicle using Vehicle Buy SINCE THEN.  We have to have something set wrong?  Or is there a problem that needs fixing?   This is crucial for us -- we introduced Karuza's Vehicles and now people can't use them.

This line exists in our config to limit the # of purchases:  "Maximum number of purchases of one vehicle by one player": 3

But it's being taken as a universal, never clearing.  We assumed it would be a "daily" limit.   How do we fix this?

Your sample config does not contain that line at all.

if we eliminate the line entirely, I assume that would mean people can buy as many as they want?

Hey! Totally get the confusion. That purchase limit is not a daily thing, its a permanent counter per player per vehicle. It persists through restarts and even through wipes unless you have "Wipe on new map save" set to true. Sounds like yours is set to false so the March purchase counts are still there.

Quickest fix: set "Maximum number of purchases of one vehicle by one player" to 0 on each vehicle to remove the limit. Or if you want to keep the limit but have it reset on wipes, set "Wipe on new map save" to true. To clear the current stuck data right now, delete the file VehicleBuy/cooldowns.json from your data folder and reload the plugin.

And for /callback, two things to check: players need the vehiclebuy.recall permission, and each vehicle entry in the config needs "Can recall?" set to true. Command format is /callback vehicleName (like /callback copter).

Once i figured out the limit wasn't a daily thing, the rest of our problems became clearer.   What we need is a daily reset, somehow.   Or not ot use the limit at all.  The problem with no limit are the jerks who just spawn a 1000 of something.   As for deleting vehicles, it was an issue only because of the limit -- which we set without realizing how it works.  IT's not an issue if we lift the limit.   Though it remains an issue if we end up with tons of vehicles piling up all over the place.   I'm not really sure what we're going to do next.   We're discussing the options.

Is there a way to force the data to clear, without a wipe?
