Update to Latest version and server update

Hi how do i go about updating to your latest version?

Also i noticed the server says unknown, why does it do tha and how do i update that ?

Under Server where it says Installed - it says unknown, is see carbon updates it self.

Wherever your MyRustServer.exe is located, there is an Installer.exe. Run this and the update will be installed.
If you still have an old installer, download it from Codefling or go to https://client.myrustserver.com, log in with your MyRustServer details, and download it from there.

ok ill try a new installer file, needs to be upddated anyway , so hopefuly that fixes the unknown server issue

If that doesn't help, click on "Verify" or "Repair server files" under "Installer" in MyRustServer.

i have now updated to your latest version but the server now says N/A as if it doesnt know the build and as a result users can connect, they get a error saying update client protocol, server needs updating

cant connect to server now and i suspect its something to do with this, the errror also reads:
192.168.0.1:58230/76561199218355099/Mugamerforlife1234 kicked: Wrong Connection Protocol: Server update required!
Kicking 192.168.0.1:58230/76561199218355099/Mugamerforlife1234 - their protocol is 2617 not 2616
 

i restarted the server and now its fully updated, thanks for your help with this

Another related question, i see the backups are zipped and stored in backups folder, to use these and revert to a previous version how do i use these files, must i manually just copy them over ? to the local folder where MRS is installed and replace the files?

Yes, you have to copy it manually.
But that's a good idea, I'll add a restore function.
