All our NPCs on the map are really messed up (even vanilla monument ones) We have issues with NPCs respawning as botrespawn NPCs (like a custom monument NPC spawned on oil rig in place of a scientist) and then invisible NPCs spawning in place etc. Like all sorts of messed up across the board. Custom ones, vanilla NPCs, etc. If I unload botrespawn it all stops (but then sadly my entire map is just free loot).

 

For example (notice the names in first pic)

There was a blue scientist on the bottom landing here on oil rig with the profile name of one of our zombies. I reloaded botrespawn and the blue scientist entity blipped out of existence and then reappeared where you see him. And now there is an invisible version of him patrolling the platform (the visible one does not move, react, and cannot be killed, second picture)

Same here, I have a few individuals that are spawning, but are invisible. Using radar i can find them.

I've got a few people helping out on this.
Going to have to call it a night right now, unfortunately, but this seems to be affecting only certain servers and doesn't seem to be simple to replicate in a test environment.
Even cloning a live server with the issue as a local test didn't show up the issue.

I'll be working on it first thing tomorrow and will update as soon as I can.

Before I go...Can you folks tell me what kind of numbers you're running?
bot.count console command should tell you.

Same number (give or take like 10, we actually try to keep it to 150 or less) we have run for years now ...

Same error here.
The bot is 746.

Good morning...Hopefully.

Would anyone be willing to test - Are all issues resolved if you set your profiles gender and skintone to Male and Light?

just tested this after getting a few reports

Bot set to male/lightest = visible

female/darkest = visible

random/random = only 2 of 4 visible

whatever the bug is, try and implement it as a thing, a Predator bot would be awesome 😄

So, even after setting the gender to Male and the skin tone to Light, it still doesn’t seem to be fixed.
In particular, the three scientists at the Airfield monument puzzle still look like scientists on the outside, but internally they are treated as Zombies, and their loot only contains a skull — the one defined in the CustomLoot profile.
Also, a UnityEngine error appears in the top-left corner — could this be related?

I think this issue runs deeper than the bots. This morning, we had a report of a player who couldn't move. They tried teleporting away from their base, restart the game, verify files, still couldn't move. One of our admins went to check and saw them 3 times in the base on the admin radar. After she killed these three, the player could respawn and play further.

Same problem. Got report from players about invisible underground bot was shooting, I was thinking that was a joke or something so I didn´t check it

I’m running the latest update for a couple hours now, and so far see no issues with any bots. No one encountered any ghosts. If you haven’t already, try updating the plugin (perhaps restart your server prior that to let all bots freshly respawn).
