Vanilla Patrol Helicopter should only damage the caller’s TC-authorized base

Not a Bug 1.2.10

I already contacted the developer via Discord (Iftebinjan) regarding this, but I have not received any reply. Therefore, I am submitting this request here for official support.

I am requesting a feature to allow the vanilla patrol helicopter (the default helicopter in Rust, not from any paid heli plugin) to damage only the player who called it and that player’s own base where they have TC (Tool Cupboard) authorization. Other players’ bases, where the attacker does not have TC authorization, should not take any damage (to prevent accidental collateral damage).

In TruePVE, this was possible with the setting:

TC authorized can hurt buildings TC not authorized cannot hurt buildings

This allowed the heli to damage my own base during a fight but prevented it from damaging other players’ bases.

I would like SimplePVE to support something similar specifically for the vanilla patrol helicopter, so that helicopter fights remain challenging for the player engaging it without risking other players’ structures.

Currently, normal vanilla patrol helicopters in SimplePVE damage all players’ buildings when “Patrol heli damage buildings” is enabled, because they have no owner.
Would it be possible to add an option that applies TruePVE-style “TC Authorized / TC Not Authorized” building damage rules to the vanilla patrol heli?

This would make the plugin much more PvE-friendly and reduce unnecessary griefing or accidental damage.

For clarification, when I mention "vanilla patrol helicopter," I mean the default patrol helicopter in Rust, not one from any paid or custom plugin.

I noticed that you changed the status of my request to "Not a Bug" without providing any explanation. Could you please clarify why it was marked as such?

To clarify, my request was specifically about the vanilla patrol helicopter (the default patrol helicopter in Rust), not any paid or custom plugin. In a previous discussion on Discord, it was suggested that the issue could be resolved by purchasing a paid plugin. However, my concern is that suggesting a paid plugin — instead of addressing the vanilla-related issue — could be perceived as steering users toward a purchase,

Could you please address the original request directly and explain why the vanilla patrol helicopter behavior was not considered a bug? A clear explanation would help others who might encounter the same situation understand the reasoning behind the decision.
