How to change text

Hi i know how to use photoshop but im stumped how do i change the text? i tried with text tool but all it does it create new text.

Hello! here the technique "smart object" is applied. You need to double-click on the layer thumbnail. Then a new file will open, where you can change the text. After that you need to save the new file. And the changes will be applied to the original file

ok thanks but how do i change this as i cant find the layer i tried turning it red via glow but its still orange and red
