Hi, I'm currently working on a similar themed map, so I will not update this map to world 2.0.

So do i have to buy the new map?

I can't update all of my old maps as I hand-placed all rocks and cliffs on most of them, so to do it again would take too many hours. I'll rather spend my time designing new and better stuff as I got more experienced over the years and can do more

That's not the point. We paid for a map that will no longer receive updates. It's important to take responsibility and continue updating your older maps, as most other map developers do.

Do you honestly think I’d consider buying another one of your maps, knowing this could happen again in the future? Let’s be real here.

If you want someone to blame, blame facepunch. This is the second time they do this. They could've copy-pasted the textures of the new cliffs and rocks onto the new ones, or even change their color to match the new ones and keep them in the game files. But they chose to screw all mappers by deciding to remove them from the game files over "memory space". Yet they contradict themselves by keeping lots of useless duplicated prefabs in the game files (some have been there for years)
