massive error when certain people click on random items. This happened to me when I tried to craft a boat. It happened 10 or so times to a player last night when trying to purchase a heli signal. Below is the error in console

Are you using oxide or carbon?

You're the first person to come forward with this problem. If this error is intermittent, it will be very difficult to trace.

Today, my community reported it too; we use Carbon. However, it doesn’t affect every player.

Please clarify with your players how they got this error? I can't reproduce it.

I haven’t been able to reproduce the error myself, which, of course, makes it difficult to identify the exact cause. The issue occurs when the user switches between categories. So far, only two users have reported it, while over 50 others haven’t encountered any problems.

P.S: A player from my community mentioned that he also had the problem and it was due to poor internet. After he restarted the router, the problem no longer occurred.

I was able to reproduce both of your errors.
The error with player disconnection I found after watching your video. It happens because when you go through the categories you search in each category (the search field is highlighted in color). Why do you have the search field highlighted when opening categories? I don't have this on my test server.

Sorry for the late message. I’m not sure why this is happening with this particular user. I’ll check on my end again to see if it occurs here as well.
The problem persists even when we use the standard configuration. However, it only seems to affect one user.

Howdy,

We are still getting this error on version 1.2.9, it is just a lot less frequent.  It seems to be a race condition between the search happening and a player going into the same or different category while the search is still going.

I was able to modify a few lines of the code to make it stop the crash from happening.  You can see by the attached error, it doesn't like updating the search box if it has an image.  This is where I think the race condition is happening.  So instead of updating the search UI when a search is done, it just destroys and recreates it.

Error we were receiving:

Modify the ItemsSearch coroutine with the following lines:

Thank you for updating the plugin - that issue seems to be resolved.

We have a new issue, however. One player in particular, who had the same crashing issue as described above, can't craft anything. Please see attached video. You can see the search bar is selected as soon as the panel appears. Even if he clicks elsewhere and removes the search bar being selected, when he selects an item, he has the same issue. He removed all key binds and verified the integrity of his files.

So far no one else has reported this issue.

Hi, I don't understand why you have the search box becoming automatically active. I don't have it and never have. And I forced it so that it was not active when loading, but you still have it for some reason. I have to figure it out.

Are you using oxide or carbon?

I don't have the issue either, so I'm not sure how he is having the problem. We are using Carbon. Can you provide the option to disable the search function in the config?

I will try to fix this bug in the next update.
