I have been using this plugin for awhile now on carbon, the server is on the latest version of carbon and the rust dedicated server software. A player tried defendable homes for the first time this wipe and when the npcs destroyed the base the event never ended. the player got to wave 2. because the event never ended the player could not rebuild the base after the base was gone. I did not see anything in the console at the time. there is also nothing in the logs. What could be causing this error?

Can you explain a little more what happened in regards to the event not ending and them not being able to rebuild?

Has anyone else tried yet and is it a one time thing?

Not sure what would be causing it just yet especially without errors but certainly want to know more if it's persisting. If it just happened the one time, I've seen a lot of really odd stuff happen here and there in my time that is either a one time thing or fixes itself. Let me know.

I cannot test this further as i have removed the plugin due to it not working very well with most of the terrain on the maps the server has been using. I do not want to edit a map to make the proper terrain for the plugin to work. For example it has never worked on any icelake on procedural and custom maps. There was no errors in the logs or console though. Not sure what caused it however i have seen weird behavior from multiple plugins after this latest rust force wipe. I wish yall the best with the plugin.

This information is in the plugin Description.

Quote

/checkfoundations - checks all the foundations of the house for the event (it is necessary to be inside the Cupboard area of the house)

  • ⊘ - you or your friends are not the owner of the foundation
  • ⊝ - the foundation does not match in height/depth
  • ⊛ - the foundation does not match the topology (prohibited topologies: Cliff, Cliffside, Decor, Building, Monument, Clutter, Mountain)
  • ◉ - the foundation is located within a radius of 40 meters from the custom monument

Foundations can be checked by players as they are building to ensure they are in a good place to run the event, and will show a grid and has either a check mark or one of the symbols above to indicate if it is eligible to run the event or not. So if you decide to install again, just share with players the command so they can check their base as they are building it, or at least before trying to use the flare, to see what reasons they might not be able to run the event there.

So far we have had no other reports of the event not ending but if we do and we get enough information to reproduce and diagnose it we will take care of it quickly.
