Hey guys, just getting started and looking to add PlayerRanks to my server hosted on Shockbyte.

They have a simple utility to setup a mySQL database,  but I can't seem to find any docs or into on how to connect the PlayerRanks plugin to the mySQL database.

Where do I add the connect string?  (username, dbname, port, etc)

I'm fairly seasoned with this kind of stuff, but didn't see anything obvious to help me get it connected.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
The plugin handles the connect string and connection. All you need to do is put the correct credentials in the MySQL section of /config/PlayerRanks.json file,
and ensure that your SQL host is whitelisting the IP that your Rust server uses for SQL queries.

Note, this often is *not* the same IP used for game connection so you may need to check that with your Rust server host.

OK, got that up and running and the  UI presents in-game and stats are populating.  Thanks for the setup tip.

Can anyone point me in the right direction in terms of a plugin or procedure to dump the data from the PlayerRanks mySQL database to a webserver for display?  Not looking for a 'How-To', just need some guidance on getting to the right tool or documentation.

Thanks in advance for any help.  I'll continue researching and looking for a solution.
