you would have to issue them either a lifetime license via permission shop or an alternative, or have it set to not clear the license on on death. 

And for the charging 100 times more than regular cost doesn't sound right send me your config and ill check that out when im free.

you went straight into 2.0 without clean installing the plugin

an update from an old version will cause issues, backup your settings and clean install it , unload , delete data, lang, config , load v2+
