Hello again,

I'm working through setting up the Biome profiles.  Trying to emulate an environment similar to traditional Rust where players are out roaming in the biomes.  Whenever I set the "Change SpawnPoint on Death" option to true and reload the profile, if I go back in to the profile is set to false again.  I'm not sure if this is limited for some reason to these profiles, it seems to work on others.

I know that the profiles are working because the bots are spawning.

PS:  I did end up using CustomLoot to create my own loot profile for the specific profiles.  Outside of having to manually edit the JSON, it works really well.

Hi,
That's an oversight which I will fix.

The "Change Spawnpoint On Death" option shouldn't show up for biome profiles, and it's not serialised (saved to the file).

The reason is that it's for cases where you have X npcs and you have created Y custom spawn points, and Y is greater than X,
you can ensure that a re-spawning npc takes a new, previously unused, spawnpoint for more variety.
Edit: Custom spawn points aren't an option with biome profiles.


For biome npcs it's randomised anyway and there should always be plenty of spawnpoints available.


Glad to hear you got CustomLoot working.
It's a little late, then, but I incorporated BetterLoot compatibility for the vanilla Rust_Loot_Source setting too.

Oh okay, I was going crazy toggling that setting.

BetterLoot and the Looty website makes it very easy to setup custom loot tables and import them, but it made more sense for profile specific loot to use your CustomLoot plugin(which is great).  I spent a good amount of time tweaking the JSON to get drops/quantities where I wanted.  It works and it's tried and true.  You had mentioned you hadn't heard of Looty, I just stumbled on it when I was doing research on loot tables.  looty<dot>cc if you wanted to see what I was referring to.
