Maybe instead of coding into the main C# file the list of banned items, you break out a json object that can contain all the banned items so the server admin can just configure the list from there?

Fire works still work even though you tried to ban them in 2.0.3 

Sorry for looking at your code, but I didn't see a change log so I compared the two versions.  (I'm willing to help with dev and don't want any compensation)
