I set up a local server, installed Oxide, added the BotReSpawn plugin, granted GM permissions, and also assigned the botrespawn.allowed permission. However, even after typing /botrespawn in the local chat, the UI does not open. Please Help.

Below is the server log.

Hi,

I can see you're auth 2, admin, and you have the permission.
The plugin is certainly loaded, so there shouldn't be a problem.

Is there anything unusual about your map or setup?
Do you see any error in console when you try to use the chat command?

Do you have any other plugins which might be interfering with chat commands?
A good test is to do      oxide.unload *           - the wildcard* will unload all plugins
then
oxide.load BotReSpawn

then test.

Do other UI plugins work? try my free NPCKits or PermissionsManager, if you don't have any others.

hi,

I appreciate your response.

Since I’m still a beginner, I can confirm that I’m able to connect to and play on the server without any issues, but I have no idea where the problem might be regarding the map or configuration. For reference, I’ve attached my start.bat and console log.

When I enter the chat command /botrespawn, nothing appears in the console.

Suspecting interference from other plugins, I set up a fresh server with only the BotReSpawn plugin installed, but the issue still persists, which is why I’m reaching out for help.

For what it’s worth, on the original server, plugins like AdminRadar, Godmode, NightVision, NTeleportation, and StackSizeController are all working without any problems.

I also tried unloading and reloading the plugin, but that didn’t resolve the issue either.

I can't think of any reason it shouldn't work.

The chat command is hard coded, so it can't even be changed in your config file or anything.
If you're admin, which you are, /botrespawn in chat should definitely open the UI.

Is your chat set to global in game?

Thank you very much for your response. I’ll go over it once more and try again.

No problem.
This is obviously a pretty major issue, although I can't think of a good reason for it,
so please keep me posted.
We'll get this resolved, one way or other. 👍

Dear Steenamaroo

After that, I refreshed my environment by rebuilding the server and performing a clean install of the Steam client, and finally, the UI started displaying properly. Thank you very much for your support.

As a test, I enabled "Train Yard 0" in the Default Profiles and was able to confirm that bots were spawning.

By the way, is there any documentation or explanation available for each profile in the Default Profiles? I'm trying to find a suitable profile for Roamers...

Hi,
That's great to hear. I can't think what the problem would have been but I'm glad a server fresh-start solved it.

The default profiles are all linked to either vanilla monuments, biomes, or events such as airdrop, destruction of AI vehicles etc.

If you want profiles in locations outside of those criteria, you'd create a custom profile using the `/botrespawn add ProfileName` chat command.
Make sure you're standing where you want the profile's centre point to be.
If position of npcs is random, as is the default mode, (not using custom spawn points), then the profile location is the central point for those randomly chosen spawn points.

I hope that answers your question but, please, let me know if it doesn't. 👍
