Hi first of all thank you for this amazing mod, and for doing it for free!

I am using zones for PVP, and I want to include the ability for players to do raids in the zones, but at the same time be unable to raid outside the zones.

The problem is that I cant find how to block damage to buildings outside the zones, I know that honor building privilege protects them, but I cant find a way to lift the protection, when they are inside a zone.

Please help me out, I have been trying to find a solution for 3 days now, and am desperate for some help 😞

Please I really need help with this, I tried and I keep trying to find a solution, please show some mercy and help me out my good people.

I guess my question was stupid and I don't deserve an answer, sorry to bother you.
Again thank you for your time and work, regardless of me not being able to utilized it correctly.

I think you're going to have to be a bit more patient than that!

Am really sorry, I wrongfully assumed that you did not want to answer.
Forgive me I was just disappointed, it is my first time doing a rust server and its very frustrating for me, again sorry for being impolite.

For plugins like DynamicPVP (not sure there are any like it), they are able to create their zones on the fly and map them into one ruleset in NextGen programmatically.

If you are managing those zones yourself, you will most likely have to create a ruleset for each zone.  The good news is that once you get one of them right you can clone that into other rulesets for the other zones.  You would only then need to change the zone id for those cloned rulesets.

Note that ZoneManager has per-zone flags which might help tweak some of the settings for each one (other than the PVP setting).

I made several zones by cloning a template as you suggested as well, the problem am facing is that I can't block people from raiding player bases outside a zone, my goal is to only allow raids inside zones. So far I can't find what rule to set, from what I understand player_base means that player is able to damage or not his own base. And I can't seem to find the rule that is for player vs player base.

For the default ruleset, which should apply anywhere NOT in a zone with a different ruleset, make sure of two things:

1. Default damage: false

2. No rules added for building damage, etc. - Any rule you add in the default ruleset is counter to the default damage setting and would be allowed.

Ok I've have uploaded some screenshots of my setup with a description of what is the goal for each rule set, but I can still damage buildings out side zones. Am not sure what am doing wrong.

Thank you for taking the time to help me out with this.image.thumb.png.53c78647f38d7a267ce59bd6cf3123c1.pngimage.thumb.png.244b6f7871e110f7908e763b1c92c9cb.png

It may actually be misbehaving.  But, I would start by removing all of the rules in the pvp_smallharbor ruleset, flip it to Default Damage True, then re-add anything you don't want to happen in that zone.  Fewer rules may be the way here.

unfortunately that did not work, I can still damage the PVE player buildings (the ones that are not in a zone)

Well, enable /pvelog, run some tests, disable /pvelog, then upload the log here.
