Disable Respawn?

Players can continually kill the NPCs from right outside the event limit, causing them to respawn and then players can exploit and gain infinite item drops and XP. Can this be fixed?

I think my recommendation would be to configure a loot table option 1, where you build your own loot table.

You can make this anything at all. As small or large a reward you want to give. So let's say you wanted to give between 1 and 4 scrap for each kill. You could do that.

For an event like this it is easiest and configurable right inside the event itself. This event is meant to have constant waves of enemies and to have a level of difficulty to completing the event.

The event itself has options to boost the reward to your liking to make it much more profitable.

Let me know if all of that made sense or if you have any questions.

There is not a way it is part of a point of the event that they respawn and continue to attack. Without it this defeats the purpose and story line of the event.

So, players are shooting the NPCs from far away, not participating in the event. For servers with Skill Tree, the NPCs give XP - players can cheese the event by killing the NPCs out of range over and over. Your suggestions have zero to do with my request about the respawning NPCs, but its good to know that there is no way to fix this. 

My suggestion would be to have the event create a ZONE around it so that players outside the bubble cannot hurt the NPCs, and that if the NPCs are shot at, they retaliate. Otherwise, players can sit there for 8 hours in a row and get as much XP as they want.

This plugin is a serious issue for servers with skill trees and XP, as players can obtain XP by killing drivers without restrictions.

Yeah, it's unusable I had to remove it after seeing that players were gaining too much XP too quick. No change = this addon goes into the rubbish bin.

This sounds like an issue to bring up with those plugins, to add API for developers to use to exclude certain enemies.

That is entirely your decision.

 

I recommend both of you read descriptions of plugins.

Once the backup begins coming on motorcycle they will continue to send units to keep you from liberating the hostages, or execute them as opposed to letting you get them to freedom! 

This is from the description and clearly states that as part of the event, NPCs will continue to be sent. There are several plugins that have waves of enemies that are part of the event. It is entirely up to you to prioritize having fun with needing to micro manage what players are able to do.

I understand your feedback but this is part of the event and it makes no sense to remove the part of the event that makes this challenging and fun.

Hello, I apologize for the strange sequence of messages, however, it is now in the plan for updates, and specifically I hope that a timer will be added between the waves of bikers and the total number of waves, I can't tell you anything about the timing. Also, at the moment there is a function to disable the re-spawn and the wave will be only 1, you can use this as a temporary solution. As for your conclusions on this event, if you look at the situation from your eyes, I completely agree with you, as well as all possible arguments on my part will look strange, so I will only say one thing - we are all human beings, and if you have a desire, give this event a second chance and let us know If you have any problems, I will really do my best to satisfy your wishes and help you solve any problems. Thank you.

Thanks for making this change - it was untenable to have the NPCs respawn with no checks and balances - the amount of loot on the ground caused FPS drops and players were able to basically cheese the XP System, some doing it on purpose to maximize their levels and skills in only 8 hours or so of constant abuse of the harbor event. 

Let me know when the changes have been implemented and I will try the plugin again on the server. Content wise, its great. Player balance wise, it was not good for the servers game balance.

I meant that as a temporary solution, you can turn on this setting now and you will only have 1 wave of bikers, and in the future, as I said, I hope there will be an adjustment of their number and a timer between them 😉
