Card reader spawn?

What exactly is the card reader spawn for? At first I thought this was how to require a space card but then I saw a separate space card setting further down

and then you won't need a card at all to loot the crate and there won't be a card reader

What happens if I turn the card reader spawn on but leave the space card option off?

The "Space card setting" section in the config is designed to determine which card will open the card readers located on any satellite. That's why you can't turn off the space card.
If you want to use a regular card, you can set skin 0 and select the desired card's shortname in the config in this

Sometimes the card reader doesn't show up at a debris field, how can players access the loot if loot requires space card?

I haven't seen that. send me a screenshot if it happens again

I cant, because if the card reader is not there.. it wont show on a screen shot

No Card Reader

By default, it is only on the largest preset of fragments on which the crate is installed

The card reader is installed on the sputnik_1 preset. If you want it to be on every satellite, use only this preset of debris

but if its only on those, the loot boxes shown above on other presets wont open unless there is a space card swiped. I will change to that preset then.. but how can a players open the loot boxes without the card reader?

The default card reader is for Chinook crate only

so does this not work then?

This will work if this crate is in the preset that has a card reader.

That is , in sputnik_1 preset
