Could not connect to SQL

The plugin wont connect to my database could I maybe see what type of charset I need? I am using  utf8mb4 or utf8mb4_0900_ 

I can connect to it from my local machine to my dedicated machine so it is not a restriction

hey i have the same issues.. i have created the user password and database but it says it cant connect.. what did you do?

I just decided to use my web host as database

yeah had to downgrade to mysql 5.....
