All previous restriction settings have been reset issue

After the recent update, all the restriction settings I had configured were completely reset, so I had to set everything up again.  
Why did this happen?  
It took me two days to reconfigure everything, and I’d like to understand the reason behind it.  

If the restrictions keep getting reset every time an update adds new items, I’m afraid I won’t be able to continue using this plugin.
