So I had another interesting scenario come up today. 

We use the Armored Train event and when the player engaged the train, it stopped right by another player's TC. Because of this, the turrets on the train were not able to be damaged by the player because they were being protected. Not sure if the "vehicle/train" was protected or the "trap/turret" was protected, but either way they were damaging the player and unable to take return damage.

Since the train doesn't move while under attack, it was basically a standoff.

Shouldn't the train and turrets be considered NPC? 

We use other plugins like Convoy and Cargo Train event that could also have this similar issue since they travel the map and may stop near player's TCs.

Yeah, I would say ideally the train is either considered NPC or just isn't protected at all. Can you find out if its the entire train that is protected? Or just its turrets?

It was actually only certain turrets on the train.

so it looks like the player is getting messages about the train cars and the turrets when they are in TC range and she also had an issue when taking the train from her base and the turrets ignoring her in her own TC range. she wanted to share this info with you, so i am passing it on:

The protected area seemed to be related to the building TC range as the closer set of turrets on the wagon loot car was inactive and the further set was active. Along with the front turrets still being active (out of build range). It also turns out the train brads showed the same message as the turrets about an inability to damage vehicles in a PVE base. Brad was still able to damage me, it was just resisting the damage from my HVs. I think this issue from two conditions made by the plug in, one being a deactivation of turrets in TC range and another being the in-destructable vehicles in the TC range (which appears to include the turrets as a component of the vehicles).

So can you confirm if I'm understanding this correctly - it sounds like the parts of the train that are within the building zone are acting as if they are part of the building of zone, and therefore being treated as whatever the mode of that building is. As in, if the train is parked within a PVE base, then the parts of the train that are within that base are being treated as PVE. Is that correct?

If so, it sounds like WarMode needs to be able to detect that these entities (such as the turrets) belong to the train, and they should ignore any mode rules. Does that sound right?

The way I am understanding it is that the train cars are being considered "vehicles" and protected by the TC zone of a PVE base, so players cannot damage the bradleys mounted in them when this happens. Also, the turrets are considered protected by the PVE zone as well and don't shoot other players and can't take damage when this happens.

Ideally, War Mode should identify any vehicle or trap that is not owned by a player as NPC owned and treat it under those rules I think.

Can you verify this by turning off vehicle protection for all modes and see if this allows you to attack those turrets?
