mysql connection issues

I am getting the below error when first setting up, is there anything else that needs to be done for setting up the plugin? I have created the database and table as per the text document.

"MySql handle raised an exception (MySqlException: Authentication method 'caching_sha2_password' not supported by any of the available plugins.)"
