need help

for some reason when searching for resources i am getting pumpjack popping as well as mining quarry even though I don't have a pump jack in my inventory if that makes sense. I have the pump jack permission but that's it.

this is normal. you would need pump jack in order to actually add it. if you add like the sawmill too it will do the same thing, it will actually bring up 1 of the 3 (if you added sawmill)

but i only had mining quarry in my inventory and i was still getting crude oil, so because I gave perms for players to use their pumpjack, it makes the mining quarry produce crude as well? i feel that doesn't sounds right.

Don't see anytihng that could break, maybe i don't understand your problem.

A you can see mining quarries should only produce the following, but for vq It is showing crude oil as well. When it should only be pumpjack that produces that.

I've tried to make that happen with your config, but without any result. Can you send me a screenshot of in-game problem? As i can't replicate that somehow or i still don't understand.

@ThePitereqMy problem is crude oil is showing up in the mining quarry when it should only be a pumpjack that shows this... Hence why i showed a screenshot above to show that mining quarries don't let you use crude oil..

Yeah but i  would need some in-game confirmations as maybe i misunderstand your issue, i've tried to replicate your issue with your config but without any result.

basically here should be stone, metal ore, and hqm, but i am now getting crude oil as well.. Which should not show up for mining quarry, only pumpjack. I don't know how else to explain this

so long as you use survey charges it will randomly bring up what ever works with survey charge. it may be a quarry that does just stone, one that does stone and sulfur. other times it will bring up pumpjacks. if you add a sawmill, then that will come up if you use maps and not survey charges. 

I normally give myself 100 survey charges and keep searching until i get what i want. then i will place it. 

this is the part I am confused about, because I thought a mining quarry doesn't let you produce crude oil, only a pumpjack. My config doesn't show anything that let's a mining quarry use crude oil. This is annoying because my players are waiting to use VQ but I just want to get this right before i move on to the next step

you showed me just an regular quarry without crude oil, send me an screenshot of quarry with crude oil in current resources as this is the part i cannot replicate.

so here it is showing crude oil, but why does it show a pumpjack when i only have a mining quarry in my inventory, or is this normal?

from my experience, it doesn't matter if you have any pumpjack or mining quarry in inventory, the only thing that makes a difference is survey charges or maps(if you have sawmills in config)

if you have a mining quarry in inventory and try to do a pumpjack, that will not work.

yes, you have it in the config, the chance of getting them is mentioned in "Chance": 25, in quarries and "Chance": 5 and then the survey used sums these values and random value from this means what will be rolled. If you change the chance to 0, or remove whole pumpjack section, it won't appear.
