Suggestion

I'm not sure if this would be a useful feature, and I'm not sure if such a proposal has been made before. But it would be great if we could add an approximate raid cost display in terms of explosives for each base. This list could be added individually for each base, by their names. Of course, it's not entirely clear what to do with bases that are forcibly upgraded or where doors change upon spawning.

heya. no, I don't know of a way to calculate costs.

Incorrectly expressed, perhaps. I meant to add the option for admins to specify this list themselves. It would then be displayed for those bases that haven't been forcibly upgraded or had their doors replaced.

I think this breaks immersion in the game and strays from the realistic nature of raiding player's bases. it's good to build bases to be cost effective as it has a lot of benefits. however it feeds and promotes an entitled mindset when it's advertised exactly how much that is. it takes their mind from "hey, lets raid this base and see what it has this time. it should be relatively the same cost so why not" to the more critical "ok, spend 24 c4 on this base instead of 25 on the other" 

making it too easy for players will leave them less gratified, they'll bore easier, and therefore log off of your server sooner. I'm against most ideas when it requires the player to think less.

I agree, for PvP servers this would be unnecessary.
But I think it would be perfect for PvE. I have a PvE server, and there are super newbies playing there. And if this can be implemented, then this kind of 'hint' would be very useful for them.

Ill think about it but this info really belongs on a sign so there are no issues with it being in the way on the screen. its not as simple as implementing a close button.

i've added this for you. it will be retroactively added to all profiles in next update

this includes examples for ease of editing, with each example disabled by default. this prevents the example from showing before you have the chance to edit it, and allows you to disable it at any time while preserving the existing entries.

this includes a command rb.config noexplosivecosts if you wish to wipe them all from every profile
