heli retires on it's own after downloading the latest update and turning my allow heli to flee to false.

Please give more info, this gives me nothing to go by.

After how long do they retire?

What have you got the "heli.lifetimeminutes" server convar set to?

Is it happening with every heli signal?

Is it happening for all players helis at once, or just certain players?

Any errors in console?

Have you got the config option set to force return the heli if it goes too far away?

In future please try and be as decriptive as possible with support issues and give as much detail to give me some hope of identifying a problem if it exists.

Were the helis being actively engaged, or were the players hiding for a long time or dead?

Did a player or someone in their team use the "hsretire" command?

heli goes away mid fight pretty much,

heli.lifetimeminutes 15

someone tested with a nightmare signal so far but i can quickly test with the others which might take a while

only 1 person was using the heli signal at the time so i can't tell if the issue will happen with other players

errors in console not sure as i will need to test

the heli were actively engaged, they was shooting at it constantly, but it just randomly went away, it happened a few times now. They did not use the command.

Please upload your config

You should first of all try setting your convar correctly.

heli.lifetimeminutes 30

Expert despawn timer is 30 mins in your config. How long did they take before it retired? Maybe 15 mins?

I will see if I can overide the server retire call in the plugin to the despawn timer. But that convar will force any heli to retire after whatever you set in there

ah i see, that there are despawn timers for the helis so i can just remove that despawn timer and then everything should be fine?

ZEODE

No, you can't remove the despawn timer in the config, it has to be set at something. But the server convar setting is overiding the config, so unless I can code it to overide that you should increase the server convar to above the longest despawn timer in your heli config

alright so my highest timer for heli would be my double nightmare which i think it's like 1 hour so i can do this to fix the issue

heli.lifetimeminutes 60

do you have a command for bradley such as bradley.lifetimeminutes 60

These are not commands from my plugin, they are server convars. There is no equivalent with Bradley. They remain until killed.

okay no problem. I did make a post about bradley drops, not sure if you have seen it, mainly to ask if you could add those extra signal skins in like you done with heli signals and something else which I can't remember now but it's on the support post

Hello. I have the same problem on my server, they start firing and it goes away. since the update I have this error nothing has been set on the timer. When I read about this problem here I set the command to 1 hour, but still complain that the heli goes off while shooting.

If the heli goes away it is not when they are shooting. It will only go away if they do not shoot it for a certain amount of time, then it commences patrol accross the map.

To prevent this you can use the config to force the heli back to players if it goes away too far.

Also make sure you have the allow fleeing config option to false.

Should this be changed from 0.35 to falsh? Now it won't go away, but it's not rocketing now.. 🙂

No, that option must always be a percentage expressed as a decimal. 0.35 = 35%
